Originating in 1968, Camp Independence is the oldest preparedness gathering in the country. Participants are encouraged to register well in advance.
The 2017 Camp Independence will be at a new location! Live Free has secured the entire Boy Scout camp facilities at Camp ToPeNeBee in Michigan City, Indiana including the modern conference center, multiple cabins, camp sites, archery and BB gun ranges, and more.
A great variety of preparedness and sustainable living presentations and vendors are planned. There will be a wide selection of classes, field training, exhibits and activities related to self-reliance, survival and emergency preparedness. Everything you need & want to know to be prepared for natural or man-made disasters, pandemics and other emergency issues that could affect our daily lives in the Midwest available in one place!
This family friendly event is meant for everyone, from those with little experience to the most experienced preppers, and everyone in-between.

Camp Independence will begin this year with an evening training program on Friday, September 8th. Training will continue early on Saturday morning with a full schedule of emergency preparedness, self-reliance, first aid and outdoor survival education programs conducted through out the day and into the evening. Sunday enjoy a relaxing morning by your campfire.

Free admission to the vendor and food areas will be available to the public on Saturday! Everyone is welcome to stop by, take a look, and learn a bit more about how to become prepared for life’s emergencies.

Advance Pricing through August 15th:
$20 per person or
$40 per Family (2 adults and their children under 18).
After Aug. 15th, and at the door subject to availability: $25 per person / $50 per Family.
Price includes one tent campsite for BOTH Friday and Saturday night plus your training admission wrist band. You’ll have full access to all training and events between 6 Pm Friday evening through noon Sunday.
Upgrade to a bunk in one of three air-conditioned and heated cabins for an additional $10 per bunk!

Attend as a Chapter or Family group! The Group Cabin Package includes both Friday and Saturday night in the cabin, 10 training wristbands and the entire main bunk room! Additional training wristbands may be added by selecting that option ($20) once and adding the additional number of wristbands needed to the shopping cart.
Each cabin includes 16 to 18 bunks (8/9 upper – 8/9 lower). Amenities include a large table and chairs in the center of the room that seats 20+, a wood stove (wood included), wall unit air-conditioner, and outdoor fire-pit!
Private Bunk Room for 4: Within each cabin there is a private room that consists of 4 bunks (2 upper-2 lower).
Available for both nights with a $100 upgrade fee to any one training or family admission. There are only 3 of these private rooms and they will be in high demand.
