Tippecanoe River State Park

Camp Independence is the oldest survival/prepper gathering in America, originated in 1968.  This event brings together survival instructors and preparedness advocates to present a wide range of emergency survival, self-defense, self-reliance and outdoor survival programs.  Both indoor and outdoor activities will be included.  Food is available at a reasonable cost.  The “Survival Stuff” raffle offers an opportunity to win great survival related items and help Live Free USA continue its educational activities.  James C. Jones author of Total Survival, Advanced Survival, 150 Survival Secrets, and Survival Stuff, will be just one of the featured speakers. Advanced registration will start in February, but walk-in registrations will be accepted.  The main activities are on Saturday, but participants may want to come in and camp on Friday the 30th and/or stay over until Sunday the 31st.

A limited number of Rent-A-Camp cabins are available through the Indiana DNR website as are tent camping sites in the park,
