Learn everything you need to know to begin your garden from a Master Gardener!
Richard Rock’s interest in gardening began during his tour of Viet Nam while serving in the Army. He earned Master Gardener status in 1993, was a co-editor of the monthly magazine “Directions” for 24 issues and is a sought after speaker. Richard has provided presentations at many garden clubs, Ace Hardware Stores, colleges and for several years at the Garden Fest held at the Mc Henry Community College.
This program will include; making soil, starting seeds, fertilizers, building raised beds, greenhouses, planting, trellis. companion planting, where to get seeds, harvesting, seed saving, and more.
As a member of Live Free, USA for more than 30 years preparedness and self-sufficiency are a way of life for Richard Rock. Gardening & Food Technology, as well as food storage and food preparation are his passion.
