Election Information
All Live Free USA Board of Directors posts are established with three-year terms alternating so that only four terms end in each year. The recent pandemic and the necessity to postpone annual meetings significantly disrupted this process. Ongoing economic issues impacted the ability of some elected officers to be able to perform their duties. As a result of these issues our Board of Directors is significantly understaffed. The existing officers are now meeting online monthly and working hard, but many programs are left unattended, and many opportunities are disregarded.
As the survival and self-reliance movement is now revitalizing, we must hope that we can fill more of these offices with motivated and active candidates. It is not necessary for candidates to be from the Great Lakes region, in fact we want to reestablish our coast-to-coast leadership. We also would welcome participation by leaders from other organizations and commercial enterprises where it would be mutually beneficial. Although nominations can be made from the floor at the meeting, proposed nominations should be sent in advance to survivorjj@aol.com before March tenth 2024.
Those who are unable to attend the meeting will have their names and any statement they would like to make presented by a proxy at the meeting.
